Obituary of Arie Versnel

VERSNEL, Arie 88 years. Passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2013. Late of Harrow. Loving husband of 65 years to Johanna (Visser). Loving dad of Margaretha (Zoran) Zonjic, Windsor, Olivia (Reg) Clark, Janet (Terry) Ellenberger, Harrow. Loving grandpa of Richard (Michelle), Jeffrey (Tracy), Jerome (Jannine), Brandon (Amanda), Stuart (Kelly) and Jamie. Loving great grandpa of Ashley, Alyssa, Andrew, Matthew, Gage, Allie, Mikayla, Olivia and Andee. Dear brother of Case (Jenny) Versnel, late Annie, Ernest (Nan) Vandenberg, Kingsville, Geertje (Cees) Blinde, and the late Gerrit (late Corrie) Versnel, Holland, Mientje (John) Barrow, Sylvan Lake, MI. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Arie retired from Seagram’s Distillery in 1985 with 30 years of service. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow Tuesday July 23, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Arie’s life will be held on Wednesday July 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gene Lotz officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, Oldcastle. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation.
