To the family and friends of Fred, my sincere sympathy. I have many fond memories of Fred as he was my brothers friend. Fred had many stories of their adventures. Kathy, Victor, Alan, Allison, and family: I have such good memories of Fred, and the stories he would share. Cleaning up of the cemetery was important to him, and he was always there with his tractor to help. I am so happy he is with Irna now. My dad will be so glad to see him once again and get caught up on things.

I will never forget those early mornings in the winter after a snow fall. Being woken up by the sound of the snow being scraped off the parking lot at the church. Running down to put the coffee on and sharing it with Fred leaned up against the door of the little tractor. Your mother and father were such faithful workers for Christ Church. He will always remain in my memories as one of the saints. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to all who morn.

Dear Kathy, Alan and family;
Our condolences on the passing of your dad, a longtime friend, neighbour and fine prodigy, 'well-rooted' in Colchester South. Fred was my first 'paying' boss when I picked sweet corn for his dad, he oversaw/corrected my yard work at Aunt Marg's and taught me a thing or two you won't find in a text book about soil drainage....and they still work!
I bought a finishing mower from him several years ago, and while I may have cursed (only for a minute) because he'd used loctite on the blade bolts instead of nev-r-seize, we both had a good laugh - his final word - "well, you didn't lose 'em did you?"
It takes a long time to grow an old friend and I have fond memories of both your folks, the Christ Church connection, crossing paths and catching up, and always feeling better having taken the time to do so.
Gone, never forgotten, our thoughts, prayers and thanks for a life well lived and well loved.
