Obituary of Teresa Alonso Matos

MATOS, Teresa (Santos)

Passed away at Windsor Regional Hospital on January 16, 2023 after a lengthy illness. Beloved wife of Jose Matos of Harrow. Also survived by sister-in-law and brother-in-law Zelia and Joaquim Bartolomeu, nephews Ze and Pedro; nieces Joao, Raquel, Mariana and Mena. Teresa was predeceased by two sisters Catarina and Matos and by a brother Arturo.

Teresa suffered from illness for a large part of her life, but on her good days she enjoyed going for walks, seeing the birds and her flowers. Jose would like to thank all of Teresa's great friends who were there for her through her time of illness.

Thank you as well to the doctors and nurses at University Hospital, London, Windsor Regional Hospital, Ouellette Campus and the Dialysis Department for all the care shown to Teresa. Donations may be made to Lupus Foundation Ontario, Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on January 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's of Padua, 120 Munger St. W Harrow ON.  Arrangements entrusted to Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home. You may send your online condolences to www.geraldasmith.ca
