I'm unsure as to whether I ever met any of the extended family of Johnny, as we all knew him. He was a fixture in our home often appearing for brief visits. I didn't know about his life or faith but I'm sure he knew about mine, with the hours of chatting between friends which included my dad, Earl Hernandez. I think he and dad must have been very close because dad always gave him grief but it didn't deter their friendship one bit.
I wish much comfort, peace and eternal hope to the family.
I write to you from Mexico, my home, a place that Johnny seemed to have enjoyed

I will always remember fondly the kind, gentle man who worked with my father John Wittine in his tailor shop in Kingsville. I will also remember how he continued to help my mother Sophia with little jobs for many years after my father's passing. My mother and I offer our deepest condolences to your family. John will be missed by all who knew him.

I will always be grateful to John as he was very accommodating in providing a ride to and from Harrow to Kingsville for my mother Margaret Watson so she could take the Greyhound bus to visit us in London.

This is Helen Keil Panovsky. Hans and I were second cousins and we grew up together. Hans was an apprentice in my father's tailor shop in Reid Austria. I always enjoyed stopping by the tailor shop and seeing his smiling face behind the sewing machine. I was always grateful to be related to the Bierer family. Hans was a kind, gentle, and thoughtful man. He always put his friends, family, and customers before himself. His humility is a model for us all, and he will be missed.

John was a kind and caring man and if you needed a rush on something that had to be repaired he was more than happy to do it. I am sure there are a lot of people in town who have memories of things John had done for them. John always had a smile on his face and was such a humble man. One of the best of a dying profession.
Rest in peace John, the Heavenly orchestre has a spot waiting for you.
My sincere prayers and condolences to John's family and friends.

Well, their ship, the Beaverbrae, came in! To Saint John, New Brunswick March 20, 1952.
I remember riding in your Parisienne and wondering why you still had to sit on the kid's bench at the kitchen table when you were in your 30s already.
My mother couldn't believe it one Christmas dinner when you asked for the burnt roasted potatoes; she just rolled her eyes and said, "Oh, not another one!", just like her kids would always ask for them.
Will miss you!
