I am saddened to hear of the loss of “Mr Gomes”. I have so many fond memories from our hockey playing days, sleep overs, mini stick games and many miles spent across Ontario going from arena to arena. I don’t think he missed a game. Our thoughts are with the family.

I worked for Charlie at the Market Square, he would pick me up every Saturday/Sunday so I spent a lot of hours with him talking about every topic imaginable from produce to politics and solving the worlds problems, but what brought him the most joy was talking about the wonderful family he has. I learned a lot from Charlie over the years, he had a big impact on my life and I always enjoyed seeing him.

Mary Jane and Family,
My heart is so sad to hear of Charlie's passing, but to know that he is not suffering anymore makes me smile. My dad used to sell tomato harvester parts to Charlie and I remember going with dad to deliver chains as a twelve year old. He loved to visit with people. Years later just out of college I grew some garlic and couldn’t find anyone to buy it. Dad gave me Charlie’s number and he brought it to Toronto and sold it all. This started my thirty year relationship with the Gomes family!!!Great great family. Love Pascal and Dana.
