Rene as I knew him worked in Entomology with me for over 20 years . He was a great guy and a real leader. He proved that when he entered politics. We always had a lot in common, we were both in municipal politics, knights of Columbus and served our communities in many worthwhile causes. To the family of Reynolds Timmins
The remaining graduates of year “60” at Kemptville Agricultural College extend our condolences to all of Reynolds’ family.
We farm lads always called him Renni, we never called him Peter. The yearbook shows that he played basketball and broom ball. He was active on student council and the rifle club executive. The yearbook mentions he had started his own herd of shorthorn cattle at the time of graduation. After graduating fourth in the class at Kemptville, he went on to study at University of Guelph.
On a personal note I was honoured to be a member of his wedding party. My wife Joan and I were pleased to be able to visit at the time of Reynolds 50th wedding anniversary. We are saddened that he will not be able to celebrate Joan and my 60th anniversary next month.
