Obituary of Alex Toth

TOTH, Sandor Janos "Alex"

September 28, 1950 – June 23, 2023

Passed away peacefully at WRH Ouellette Campus on June 23, 2023 surrounded and held in love by his dear children Colleen Toth (Cole Knutson), Jason (Tiana) Toth. Alex was predeceased by his twin brother Joseph nearly 11 years to the day in 2012. Predeceased by his mother Margaret (2007) and father Alex Sr. (1997). He will be deeply missed by many friends and family. Dear brother-in-law of Gina Toth. Loving uncle of Joey (Irene), Amanda, Danny (Ariane), Patrick (Gwen) and Timothy. Cherished step-dad of Girard Bertrand and Adam (Kirsten) Bertrand Also remembered by Quinn, Ivy, Rowen and Jack. Not often do we find a man who built his life's empire through his intellect and skill. He also lived out his life with a huge heart of gold; this was Alex. He began as a humble potato farmer from Sweden, who immigrated to Canada with his family at a young age and set down roots in Harrow, ON where he stayed for the remainder of his life. He was a graduate of Harrow High School and went on to attend the University of Waterloo and obtained a degree in Architecture. He spent many years in the field working alongside his brother Joe while also spending time in auto sales. He still maintained his highly regarded title of senior architect and project manager at Baird AE at his time of passing. Alex dedicated his life to his family and career. He will be remembered for his expertise and talent in hand drawings and we are left with many beautiful reminders of his ingenious designs in the city of Windsor and beyond, over the years Alex enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating, he was an executive member of the Harrow Kinsmen and Harrow Legion. He spent his days selflessly show his love to those around him including his beloved cats who kept him company. Part of Alex's heart and soul will always remain in his second home of Fort Meyers Beach FL where he spent 40 years not only soaking up the sun but all the priceless memories with those he loved most; making some of his best memories and always looking forward to the next family trip. Alex fought hard in the end, to stick around for his children and in typical Alex-fashion remained light hearted and humorous until the very end. Visitation at Gerald A.
