Dear Susan, Janet and your families,
I am so sorry for your loss of your Mom. She was always one to crack a smart joke and I looked forward to her Christmas card arriving out west every year. I loved visiting with you guys as a kid and remember running around and being crazy... and she was ok with it! I was always jealous of my brothers who had your Mom and Dad named as their guardian. She left the best of herself as a legacy in both of you. She is truly missed.

To Ruth’s Family, I am very sorry for your loss. I had the honour and privilege of working with Ruth in the late 70’s. She showed a brand new Registered Nurse the midnight shift “ropes”. I was terrified. Ruth was a great teacher and a great nurse, smart and compassionate. I was incredibly grateful for the sharing of her knowledge. My deepest sympathy to Ruth's family. She was an amazing lady and one of the best nurses that I had the privilege and honor to work with. Ruth took me under her wing in 1986 when I graduated and we worked permanent midnights together until her retirement. She taught me the very best about nursing and compassion.
