My warmest thoughts and prayers for Gary's family. I still cannot believe he is no longer with us. One of the most calm and kind colleague and person. Had talked with him before he left the company and he reminded me of a nice moment during a work trip in 2015, I believe: "I still have the Romanian money you gave me in Jerusalem". I had the privilege of working and knowing Gary for the past 18 years and was very sorry to hear that he had passed so suddenly. Gary was always there to help and answer questions and, in many cases, went beyond the normal requirement of his day-to-day responsibilities. I will always remember Gary’s dry wit and ability to inject humor into any situation, he certainly had a way to deliver “groaners “ in a timely fashion. I considered Gary my friend and will miss him. My condolences to the family.

I worked with Gary for many years, he was so knowledgeable and dedicated. His humour though, he always broke through the most intense conversations with something so ridiculously funny that the tension evaporated. I truly enjoyed all of the time we worked together and Gary will be so missed. My condolences to Gary's family, it's a great loss.

I'm so saddened to hear about Gary's sudden passing. I am fortunate to have worked closely with Gary on many projects starting when he first joined Pilat 20 years ago. I was so deeply saddened to hear of Gary's passing. I have known Gary for nearly 20 years, working with and alongside him. Gary was a great guy - smart, funny, kind, selfless and considerate. I always knew I could count on his help with whatever I needed, and I knew that he would go above and beyond doing it. I have many fond memories of Gary cracking jokes in meetings while wearing his typical smile, the many Christmas get-togethers we shared and the long conversations where he would patiently repeat (for the 10th time) explanations about the Canadian ratings system, which only he seemed to understand.
You will be greatly missed.

Gary joined Pilat Media as a Business Analyst in Canada back in 2003. He worked alongside many of us at Pilat, Sintec and Operative in his 20 year tenure, and his sudden demise is so very sad. Everyone who knew Gary has sent messages of love and admiration, mourning the loss of a great, kind, calm, caring, intelligent, sharp-minded, witty and dedicated man. I have fond memories of Gary taking his son Steven and I to the local games shop so that we could peruse the latest releases and take part in tournaments. He would share in this hobby with us, asking us questions and making sure to listen well. I also remember how proud he was of his Porsche and showing my brother and I the car in the garage. He was a very loving father to Steven and will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

I worked with Gary for a number of years, most recently on a project in Chile where he was instrumental in helping the client to go live. He was a ad-tech guru and recognized in the industry for his knowledge and demeanor. We were on the brink of starting a new project in New Zealand, and he was excited about it. We once played Tennis on a beautiful court at a winery in the Colchagua Valley. That is how I will remember him. John Larrabee
