Passed away on October 15, 2023 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Julie Anne (Bogdon) (2019). Loving father of Victoria (Randy) Bourne, Terry (Janet) Ellenberger and Ilene Craig. Loving Papa of Jessica (Steve) Knehler, Jennifer Wyatt (Barry), Amanda (Vinny) La Tona, Brandon (Amanda) Ellenberger, Stuart (Kelly) Ellenberger, Patrick Craig, Nicholas Craig (Kaitlyn), and Papa George to Mikayla, Olivia, Andee, Jacob, Ivy, Krew, Sophia, Grayson and August. Dear brother of the late Margaret and late Oscar Glass; late Andy and late Ann Ellenberger; John Ellenberger; and the late Christine (Senno) Erdmann. Dear brother-in-law of Anne (late George) Weniger. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. George was a lifetime farmer and an avid Tiger’s fan. George retired in 1987 from the Harrow Research Station as a stationary engineer with 12 years of service. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff on 2 East at Erie Shores Healthcare for their care and compassion. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Tuesday October 17, 2023 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm.  Visiting will continue at the funeral home on  Wednesday October 18, 2023 from 10 am until a service to celebrate George’s life at 11:00 am. with Pastor Dusan Tillinger officiating.
