Dad- in memory of Grandpa
Our father was a Christian man
Who taught us all of God' great plan.
He taught us as his dad taught him,
To trust in God, and have faith in Him.
If it wasn't for our dear ole' dad
Who farmed his land while wearing plaid,
We never would have found the Lord
And lived according to His word.
Our father loved his children truly,
Though many times we were unruly.
He loved his bride for many years,
Through all the joy and all the tears.
As we reflect the days of old,
The days that were hot, the ones that were cold,
Remembering the smile on our dear father's face
The warm, tight arms around each embrace.
And now we feel a deep, sad pain,
Our earthly loss is Heaven's gain
Although he's gone we anxiously wait
To meet him by those Pearly Gates
Where together we shall stand
Around God's throne, at His own right hand.
