Life Legacy Passed away on February 4, 2016 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Elinor (Libby). Predeceased by his wife “Lee” Lelya (Smith) (1976). Loving father of Lari (Dennis) Sabbe, Leslie (Doug) Balsillie, Michael Huffman, Andrew (Mary) Huffman, Brenda (Paul) Jones, Mark (Janet) Clifford, Todd (Debbie) Clifford. Loving grandfather of Danielle, Mandy, Derek, Megan (Liam), Amelia, Maureen, Janelle, Joshua, Justin, Joseph, Ryan (Rachel), Alicia (Ryan), Kyle, Adam and the late Blake (2013). Great grandfather of Isabella, Annika, Maëlle and Aria. Dear brother of Vera (Bob) Lindabury. Dear brother-in-law of Dorothy (Robert) Martin and Joan Friedman. Predeceased by his sister Dorothy and the late Bruce Bailey and sister-in-law Lorna and the late George Simpkins. Carl was the Past Chairman of the Ontario Potato Growers Marketing Board, Past Potato Section Head of Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Growers Association, Served on both Tender Fruit and Asparagus District Board Committees, Chairman of Advisory Committee at Harrow Research Station, Past Trustee of the Harrow School Board, Past President of Harrow Kinsmen Club, Past Member of Harrow Rotary Club, Member of the Harrow United Church, Past Master of Masonic Lodge, King Edward and inducted into the Essex County Agriculture Hall of Fame. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation on Sunday February 7, 2016 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Carl’s life will be held on Monday February 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harrow United Church 45 Munger St. E.
