Obituary of Roy Fields

94 years, April 20, 2012. Late of Harrow. Roy Fields Sr. was the loving head of our family, devoted husband of 70 years to his wife Martha Marty (Glover) Fields. A proud father of Gayle and James Steptoe, Harrow, Diane and Peter Strachan, Windsor, Beth Martin & Gerhard Fischer, Toronto, Roy and Cindy Fields, Marna and Kevin Jubenville, Harrow. Dear grandfather of Susie, Summer, Marcey, Krista, Sarah and Joshua. Dear great grandfather of Jordan. Dear brother of Virginia Mrs. Louis Marentette, Windsor. Predeceased by his brother Joseph Fields (1994). Dear brother-in-law of Elaine Fields, Harrow. Roy was a Past Grand Knight of K of C Council #5350 and a member for over 60 years. Roy had his own butcher business for many years at "The Windsor Market."Farming was his passion, in 1955 the family moved to a thousand acre farm in Colchester South and North Townships. Roy served as Vice President of the Ontario Wheat Board with Eugene Whelan , farmed with his son Roy for over 30 years. Roy enjoyed many snowbird years golfing and dancing in South Florida. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visiting Monday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. K of C Council #5350 prayers Monday at 7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate Roys will be held on Tuesday April 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Fr.
