Obituary of Kathleen Metcalfe

48 years. Passed away November 5, 2011. Late of Harrow, formerly of Kingsville. Beloved wife and best friend of Daniel R. Metcalfe. Cherished mom Heather Ann, Megan Marie and Daniel Gabriel. Beautiful daughter of Mary (Poirier) and the late Bernie OBrien, Annie (Uber) and the late Daniel H. Metcalfe. Dear sister of Laura and John Mastronardi, Mary and Ernie Boss, Annie and Rod Hatch, Bernie and Beth OBrien, Pat and Jamie OBrien, Jimmy OBrien. Dear sister-in-law of Gordon and Beth Metcalfe, Kurt and Denise Metcalfe, Jennifer Metcalfe. Dear niece of (the late Arthur) and Sue Poirier, Philip and Patricia Poirier. Also remembered by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers. Kathy was a Senior Account Manager with RBC Bank for over 21 years at Kingsville and Dougall Branches, she was a member of St. Anthonys School Parent-Teacher Council. Kathy lived her life for her family and this was reflected in her involvement with several minor sports teams in the community. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation Thursday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday November 12, 2011 family and friends are invited to gather at St. John de Brebeuf Church 67 Main St. E. Kingsville at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Michael OBrien officiating. Interment at Greenhill Cemetery, Kingsville. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the children's RESP fund (payable to Dan Metcalfe), Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Ovarian Cancer Research, American Red Cross, Detroit Receiving Hospital, American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
