Obituary of Richard Cousins

Peacefully on January 6, 2012 at 77 years of age, with loved ones by his side. Son of late Glenn & Ina Cousins. Richard is survived by his five children; Lyall Cousins of Niagara Falls, Paul & Sue Cousins of Windsor, Ina Oliver (Lance) of Windsor, and Sandra & Alain Fontaine of Amherstburg. Beloved Papa C" of Adam, Crystal, Racquel, Paul, Mandie, Travene, Josephine, Ann, Travis, Andrew, Matthew, Christopher, Timothy and Mrissa. Predeceased by Shayne. Great Papa C" of Alicia, Ayden, Jake, Aaron, Mason, Analise, Karsen, James, and Sabriel. Predeceased by Vashti. Richard retired from Chrysler Canada after 29.5 years. Spending much of his retirement camping at Epping Forest, he made several strong meaningful friends who would become a second family to him. In the fall and winter months he enjoyed devoting his time to Theatre Windsor. Years of building sets and props would earn him a lifetime membership with the Theatre. His efforts were appreciated by many, and will be remembered for years to come. Funeral services for this great man will be held at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow Visiting Sunday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Richards life will be held Monday January 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Cameron officiating. Interment will follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens Windsor.
