Obituary of Frank Duransky

83 years. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Kingsville June 14, 2009. Formerly of Colchester South Twp. Beloved husband of Katherine "Kay" (Chortos). and the late Catherine (Eisele) (1987). Beloved father of Frank and Susan Duransky, Cathy Meyers, Bettyann and Gary Rankin, Eileen Duransky and Ian Bryson, Carol Duransky, Joan and Don Rynard. Predeceased by his daughter Rosemary, Mrs. Bill Whitesell (2004). Dear step-father of Diana Simonovich, Cathy and Perry Szeminski. Loving grandpa of Bryan, Janet, Samantha, Sandy (Ryan), Christine, Laurie, Lisa (Richard), Dan (Raquel), Brad (Melissa) and four step grandchildren. Loving "opa" of Bryanne, Ethan, Taylor, Shane, Madisson, Leah and two step great grandchildren. Frank was a school trustee at St. Anthony's School, a member of the K of C Council #5350 for over 50 years, a member of the Harrow Kinsmen Club. Past president of the Harrow Rotary Club, past president of the National Farmers Union. Recipient of the Associated Growers Award in 1990, a member and past vice chairman of L.A.M.B. and past councillor for Colchester South Twp. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Monday at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday June 17, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Anthony of Padua Church with Rev. Fr. Rick Janisse officiating. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the CNIB or Hospice Windsor-Essex.
