My condolences to Irene and family on the passing of Art. Art was loved by many, especially his church family at HMC. I was lucky enough to have known him for the many years attending HMC. Dearest Irene and Family: I cannot begin to tell you the shock we are in at this time. Art was our example of a "life well-lived" and an inspiration to many.Rod and I had many interesting chats with him about his views on what was important in life. Dear Rempel family: I was shocked and saddened to read the news of Uncle Art's death on Saturday morning. I had called the hospital to ask whether he was still a patient; when I got a "yes," I prepared to go up for an early afternoon visit. Richard's email, however, intervened just before I left the house, and I couldn't believe it. May God's grace and peace be with you during these difficult days. I'm hoping for a chance to meet you all again and express these things in person.
