Obituary of John Pocantos

After a valiant battle with cancer, Tom rode his bike into Heaven on November 18, 2009. Beloved son of Magdalena and the late Joseph Pocantos (1987). Predeceased by his son Jacob Joseph (2000). Dear brother to Hilda and Peter Ryan, Parry Sound, Enne Bondd, Las Vegas, Katie and Ledson McLean, Harrow, Rosemary, Winnipeg and Elisabeth, Harrow. Survived by 8 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews. Also remembered by long time close friends Brenda, Maurice, Melvin, Betty Ann, Carl, Fred and Merrill. Tom loved his close friends as they were a vital part of his life. He'll be forever remembered for his sense of humor, his love of life and music and wanting to dance until the last song played. His dance may be over on this earth but he's playing his harmonica in Heaven with his son at his side. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation Friday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Service to Celebrate Tom's life will be held on Saturday November 21, 2009 at 11:00 at the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Rick Janisse officiating.
