Obituary of Esther Greenhow

96 years. January 25, 2009. Peacefully at her home Hackwood bought by her father in the 1920s. Predeceased by her husband Ralph (1967). Beloved mother of Ralph and Rev. Margaret Greenhow, Southampton, Joan McGuire, Ottawa, Susan Greenhow, Harrow. Loving grandmother of Suzanne (Ted), Elizabeth (Arthur), James (Leah), Kevin (Trina) and 10 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Joan Hackett, Harrow. Predeceased by her sister Ruth (Johnny) Zimmerman. Esther was an early member of the Art Gallery of Windsor and was president of the volunteer committee in the 1960s. She was also a long time member of the American Womans Club and a more recent member of the Questers, an international group with an interest in the restoration and preservation of historic buildings. At Esthers request cremation has taken place, no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service was held at Victoria Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
