Obituary of Wim Simonis

Passed away peacefully on December 28, 2010 at 76 years of age. Late of Harrow. Beloved husband of Cobie (Arnouts) with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Loving father of Nick and Audrey Simonis (Jacksonville, FL.), Willem Simonis (Toronto), Coby Simonis (deceased), and Fred and Bernadette Simonis (Harrow). Grandfather of Nicolaas, Jason, Brendan, and Ben. Brother to Co Stouten (deceased) and Wiets Storm, and beloved uncle to Rob and Els (Storm) and Wietske Storm. Born in The Hague, The Netherlands, he and Cobie emigrated to Canada in 1969 and made Harrow a home for their family. Wim worked in pharmaceutical manufacturing and traveled extensively setting up manufacturing plants in countries such as China, Romania, and Singapore. He helped many people in these countries become more self-sufficient by teaching them mechanical skills. Wims loves of his life were family, dogs (especially German Shepherds), and repairing things. He was very, very proud of all of his grandsons. Cremation has taken place. No visiting or service. The family will have a ceremony in Wims honour in his native Holland this summer.
