Obituary of Clarence Nantais
Passed away peacefully on June 20, 2011 at Country Village Health Care Centre at the age of 91 years, late of Harrow. Beloved husband of the late Olive Marguerite (Winter) (1995). Loving father of Gary Nantais (Mary), Woodslee, Nancy Meloche, Essex and Kevin Nantais, Cottam. Loving grandpa of Danny and Amy Cook, Matthew and Valerie Nantais, Jeffrey and Jenna Nantais, Kyle, Lindsey and Katie Nantais. Dear great grandpa of Lauren and Clayton Cook. Dear brother of Richard Dick (Donna) Nantais, Phyllis (Jim) Shephard, Doris OConner (Frank), Floyd (Jody) Nantais, Robert (Janice) Nantais. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Helen (1971), father Joseph (1972), daughter Janet Nantais (2008), daughter-in-law Leslie (Iler) (2007), son-in-law Roy Meloche (1997), sisters Stella (Tom) Fawdry, Helen (Joe) Coventry, Bernice (John) Leffelhoc and brother Albert Pete (Margaret) Nantais. Clarence served in WWII Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps and retired from General Motors Windsor Transmission Plant in 1982. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation Wednesday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Thursday June 23, 2011 where family and friends will meet at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church 45 Munger St. W. Harrow for Mass at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Rick Janisse officiating. Interment at Colchester Memorial Cemetery.
