Obituary of J. Arner

88 years. January 28, 2011. Born September 30, 1922 in Colchester South, ON to the late John and Edith (Huffman) Arner. Late of Harrow, formerly of Wheatley and Amherstburg. Predeceased by his loving wife Frances (Parks) Arner (2010). Loving father of James (deceased 1967), Karen and Frank Bajc, Waterdown, Bradley and Janis Arner, Kamloops, B.C. Much loved Pop of Tyson, Madelyn, Lindsay, Jimmy, Sarah, Amy and James (Christine). Proud Great grandpa of Keegan, Chloe and Bailey. Loving brother of Gertrude, Mrs. Greg Thompson, Amherstburg. Dear brother-in-law of June, Mrs. Norman Rattew, St. Catherines, William and Betty Parks, Richmond. Also remembered by several nieces and nephews. Keith was an active member of the Harrow United Church, AOTS Mens Club. Past Master of King Edward Masonic Lodge #488 and a 32 Degree Mason. He served overseas in WWII with R.C.E.M.E. from 1943 to 1946. After the war he worked in Windsor in the Tool and Die Industry, a Robotic Company and was part owner of a Material Handling Company and was also a consultant with Ontario Ministry of Industry and Trades. Keith was an avid lover of horses and dogs. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow Sunday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thistle Lodge #34 Service Sunday at 7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate Keiths life will be held Monday January 31, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Harrow United Church 45 Munger St. E. Harrow with Rev. David Steadman officiating. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Harrow United Church or the charity of your choice.
