My sympathies are with Mary's family and close friends. Mary and Harry were good friends of my parents, Les and Eileen Day whom they met at the Windsor Chapter of the Royal Canadian College of Organists, and with whom they shared a similar taste in music. For me, as a young girl, she became my Aunty Mary. She was a bubbly, funy, and kind lady and I always looked forward to her vists. She had her own unique vocabulary and turn of phrase that woud make you laugh. She made herself at home when she came to visit with us and she had so much energy and curiosity when visiting new places. She shared a similar sense of humour with my husband, Jason, and there was double the amount of laughter around when they were together. I know that Mary was looking forward to seeing her family and friends at her Open House in July this year for her 90th birthday and I will treasure her last letter inviting us to it. Mary and my mother shared the same birthdate so Jason and I will be remembering them both on July 29th.
