Obituary of William Wallace Anderson

Born May 3, 1930 in Colchester South Twp., passed away into eternal rest on April 30, 2008 peacefully at home with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. Late of Harrow. Beloved husband of Joanne (Valade-Rupert). Predeceased by his first wife Eleanor (Quick) (1986). Dear father of Betty Anderson and John Hlozan, Bill and Maureen Anderson, Jenny and Bussy Brunett, John and Sherry Anderson. Predeceased by his son Donald (1981). Dear father-in-law of Lynn, Mrs. Carl Gyori. Beloved step-father of Terry and Liz Rupert, Cindy and Ken Schwab, Fred and Sue Rupert, Lisa and Ray Fischer. Adored grandpa of 25 grandchildren and 19 8/9th great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers George (2003), Walter (1987) and sisters Gertrude, Mrs. Floyd Putman (2007), Doreen, Mrs. Walter Grant (1994), Alma Beetham (1979) and Thelma, Mrs. Mark Beaudoin (1951). Dear brother-in-law of Malcolm Beetham and Carol Anderson. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Wally retired in 1995 as an electrician-plumber with the Separate School Board. Wally loved the weekly dances he and Joanne attended with many friends. He enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with his sons and grandsons. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation Friday May 2, 2008 from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Wallys life will be held on Saturday May 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church 58 Division Rd. N., Kingsville with Rev. Jim Bagley officiating. Interment Colchester Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made by cheque to the Hospice Windsor-Essex or the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.
