84 years. Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on December 15, 2013. Beloved husband of Katherine (Cipkar). Loving father of Mike Jr. (Rose) Pohanka, late John (1997) (Cornelia) Pohanka, Paul (Zuzana) Pohanka, Kathy (George) Kroslak, Carolyn (Traian) Florica, Esther (John) Ursu, Edward Pohanka and David Pohanka. Loving grandfather of Janet (Tony), Violet (Tim), Michael (Chrissy), Sherry (Garrett), Jerry, Christine, Jonathan, Laureen, David, Philip, Diane, Kathie Lyn, Karla, Rebecca, Colleen (Jeremy), Donald, Patricia, Gordan, Lori, Tamara, James, Dana and Jordan. Great grandfather of Levi and Jaden. Predeceased by his father Paul, mother Mary, brothers Paul and John. Dear uncle of Perry, Pam, Peggy and Polly. Mike was a dedicated Minister for 52 years, loved farming and had a passion for nature. Mike retired from Chrysler Canada in 1990 with 28 years of service and was a member of CAW Local 444. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation Wednesday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday December 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Clergy of the Apostolic Christian Church officiating.
