73 years. September 20, 2010. Late of Harrow. Beloved husband of 53 years to Gladys (Shimonek). Loving dad of Jerry and Bonnie Rempel, Amherstburg, Kevin and Valerie Rempel, Sarnia, Cheryl and Toni Hansen, Harrow. Loving grandpa of Shannon (Phil), Jennifer (Agostino), Jason, Kyle, Krystle, Michai and Kaven. Loving G.G. of Logan, Julia, Samantha and Lucas. Son of the late Henry and Susan Rempel and son-in-law of Hilda Shimonek and the late Henry. Dear brother of the late William Rempel, Ann (Ron) Dueck, Margaret (Reid) Anderson and Jake (Lynne) Rempel. Dear brother-in-law of Jeanette (late Bernie), Ida (Gordon), Adeline (Bill), Art (Gladys), Verna (Charles), Clare (late John), Ken (late Erica) and their families. John devoted his life to his family and friends, he retired as a construction worker and owner of Rempel Diversified Services Inc. in Windsor. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation on Thursday 2-5 p. m. and 7-9 p. m. Family and friends will meet at First Lutheran Church 21 Spruce St. N. Kingville, ON, Friday September 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service to celebrate John's life at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Schallhorn officiating.
