Obituary of Lillian Boudreau

80 years passed away peacefully on Friday June 8, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife, best friend and life long dance partner of 62 years to Leon. Beloved mother of Danny (Linda) Boudreau, Rita (Joe) Boutette, Sandy (Reg) Hernandez, Kathy (Jimmy) Ouellette, Tony (Beth) Boudreau, Laura (Bill) Findlay. Dear grandma of Neil (Jessica), Ben (Masayo), Doug, Mindy (Barry), Joey (Kait), Kevin, Liz, Michael, Andrea (Pat), Nathan (Kelly), Nicholas (Kelly), Chelsea, Lauren (Jordan), Melissa (Dave), Ashley (Paul) and Jordanne. Great grandma of Seth, Zachary, Noah, Hiroji, Kobi, Everly, Maddox, Hannah, Angie, Mikey and Meadow. Dear sister of Helen, Margaret, Sophie, Stewart, Alfred, Danny, Losa, Sheldon and Floyd. Predeceased by her brother Stewart and sisters Jenny, Agatha and Adeline. Mom was happiest surrounded by her family. She loved her grandchildren and adored her great grandchildren. Family gatherings and dinners were always enhanced by her famous cabbage rolls or clam chowder or whatever other delights she would produce from her kitchen. Mom enjoyed golfing and especially playing with her Tuesday evening ladies group at Oxley. She looked forward to the times she was able to spend with friends in Texas and Florida. Friends and family will smile as they recall the Sunday outdoor breakfasts that happened for years in Colchester village. Mom had the greatest sense of humour, enamouring everyone who came to know her. Even after she found out she was so ill, she was still playing little jokes on us all to keep our spirits up. She taught us all how to live and she taught us how to die always expressing gratitude for anything anyone did for her. Visitation at GERALD A. SMITH FUNERAL HOME 197 King St. W. Harrow, Monday June 11, 2012 from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Lillian’s life will be held Tuesday June 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. David Steadman officiating. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor-Essex County or to Juvenile Diabetes. You may send your online condolences at www.geraldasmith.ca The family would like to express their sincere thank you and appreciation to the incredible nursing care provided by Erie St. Clair Community Care Access Centre and Hospice of Windsor-Essex County. Your help allowed us to keep mom at home with us until the end and your compassion helped ease our pain.
