Obituary of Oscar Manners
Oscar Adolphus Manners was born February 9th 1926 in Detroit, MI to parents Edna (Grant) Manners and Oscar Adolphus Manners. During his time in living in Detroit he worked in the Ford Stamping plant in Dearborn and he was there for 26 years. He then met and married is wife of 51 years Leona (Gwen) Wilson and he then moved to Windsor Ontario Canada raising 11 children. Oscar was preceded in death by is his Father Oscar Adolphus Manners, Mother Edna (Grant) Manners, and younger sister Dorothy Manners. He leaves to cherish her memory his loving wife Leona (Gwen) Manners, His Brother David Manners (Fannie-deceased), His Children Courtney Manners (Charlene Manners), Sharon Brooks, JoAnn Robinson (Jerry Purnell), Glenda Peden (Joe Lewis), Frederic Peden (Barbara Peden), Oscar "Butch" Manners (Marlyn Manners), Latifa Dobine (Virgil Dobine), Sonya Manners, Oscar Manners (Loraine), Cindy Manners Lee (Darryl Lee), and Christel Manners, 37 Grandchildren, 30 Great-grandchildren, and a Host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation on Thursday October 11, 2012 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Oscars life will be held Friday October 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m at Harrison Memorial COGIC 810 Mercer St. Windsor with Bishop Lionel B.
