Obituary of Murray Toffelmire

TOFFELMIRE, Murray W. Now in the Presence of Jesus. After a long and courageous battle, Murray succumbed to his illness on November 20, 2012, at Richmond Terrace Amherstburg. Murray was born on Texas Road, Amherstburg, October 6th, 1925. Dear husband of Susan. Much loved father of Beth (BC), Wesley (AB) and Mari-Ellen (ON). A loving grandfather and great-grandfather, Murray is survived by his sister Mildred, (Mrs. William Hopkins) of Brooklyn, MI, and John (Mary) Tofflemire of Guelph ON. Predeceased by his brothers Francis (Frank) (2004), Joseph (1975) and sister Grace, (Mrs. William Miller) (1994). Also remembered by many cousins, nephews and nieces. At 17, Murray joined the RCAF (1943–1945). He lived and worked in Windsor, and Victoria B.C., retired and returned to Kingsville with his wife Susan in 2000 and more recently to his native Amherstburg and the dearly loved Carolinian area of southern Ontario. At Murray’s request cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to Carolinian Canada Society, Grosvenor Lodge 1017 Western Rd. London, ON N6G 1G5 or the charity of your choice.
