Obituary of Ione Herniman

HERNIMAN, Ione (Halstead) Ione passed away in London on January 10, 2013 at the age of 98 years. Late of London and formerly of Harrow and Leamington. Ione was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Albert (Bert) in 2001 and by her grandson Michael in 1999. Loving mother of Charles (Diane) of St. Marys, and Ken of London. Proud grandma of Dawn, Belleville, and Ryan, Guelph. Survived by her brother Carl in Vancouver and many nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her brother Warren and sister Merretta. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow with visitation on Monday January 14, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed immediately with a celebration of Ione’s life with Rev. Doreen Canavan officiating. Interment at Erie Cemetery, Colchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Harrow United Church or charity of your choice. Special thanks to all the fifth floor staff and nurses at Chelsey Park Retirement Community, London for the exceptional care they provided to Ione.
