Obituary of John Krumbacher
Called home to be with His Savior, John passed away peacefully at the Hospice of Windsor & Essex County on February 10, 2014 at 77 years of age. Born February 19, 1936 in Hodod, Romania and emigrated to Canada in August 1952. Predeceased by his loving wife Anne (Stomp) and dear family John and Mary Pretli. Dearest father of Annie (Herb) Froese of High River, AB., Christine (Richard) Froese, John (Linda) Krumbacher, Helen (Steve) Marentette and Robert Krumbacher, all of Harrow. Beloved grandpa of Dan (Kristy), Erin (Wade), Michael (Laura), Kathleen (Kevin), Matthew (Rachel), Samantha & Sidney. Great grandpa to Brody & another soon to arrive. Dear brother-in-law and uncle to Helen and Bill Bonyai & family. Eleven years retired from farming the land he loved, and driving bus. John was a faithful member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church Harrow, who in recent years enjoyed volunteering at the Richmond Terrace Nursing Home in Amherstburg. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. Heartfelt and many thanks to Hospice of Windsor & Essex County for such compassionate, wonderful and tender care over the past 5 weeks, as well as the generosity of Vince & Diane Cardella of Tim Hortons. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Prayers Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. The Service of Christian Burial will be held Saturday February 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church 304 Munger St. W. Harrow, with Rev. Gerhard Maag officiating. Interment at Colchester Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Windsor-Essex or Christ Lutheran Church.
