Obituary of Margaret Watson
100 years, passed away April 3, 2013 in London. Formerly of Harrow. Margaret was the daughter of the late Bella (Catherwood) and Franklin Martin. Predeceased by brothers W. G and Keith, her husband Harold, longtime teacher and principal at the Harrow Public School, and infant daughter Marilyn. Loving mother of Evelyn Kearns of Arlington Heights IL and Stuart (Nina) Watson of London. Devoted grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was an involved and hard working member of the community having been a telephone operator, grocery clerk, sales clerk at the Harrow Dime Store and Madill's Furniture Store and assistant at the Harrow Fair office. As well as a caring neighbour and friend, Margaret was a life member of the Harrow United Church, Sunday school teacher, choir member and was active in many church organizations . She was a life member of the Womens Institute and a member of the Rebekah Lodge for 80 years. Margaret enjoyed cooking, baking, travelling, playing cards, sewing, knitting and crocheting, but most of all she loved being with family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of the Dearness Home, London for their professional and caring support. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation Friday April 12th, 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Lily Rebekah Lodge #49 service on Friday at 3:30 p.m. A celebration of Margarets life will be held at 11.00a.m.Saturday April 13, 2013 at Harrow United Church 45 Munger St. E. Harrow. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment Christ Church Cemetery, Colchester. Memorials may be made to Harrow United Church, Harrowood Seniors Community or a charity of your choice.
