Obituary of Ruby Pook

89 years. Passed away peacefully on Saturday May 11, 2013. Beloved wife of 66 years to Fred Pook. Loving mother of Bill and Deb Pook, Harrow. Loving grandma of Christopher Pook and fiancé Kristyn Hartford, Ashley Pook and friend Will McKend. Predeceased by her sisters Madeline Renaud, Audrey Hannam, brother Alex Shaw, brother-in-law Jack Pook, sisters-in-law Betty Piros and Audrey Robinson. Also remembered by several nieces and nephews. Ruby worked as a bookkeeper in the family business Fred G. Pook Limited for over 40 years. She was a piano teacher, fondly remembered by many students in the Harrow area for over 50 years. Ruby was an avid traveler sharing many trips with her friend Nancy Ellenberger-Murphy. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow Tuesday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Ruby’s life will be held on Wednesday May 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Elder Darwin E. Wismer officiating.
