Our deepest sympathy on your loss of a wonderful man.I had the pleasure of rubbing elbows with Jim on numerous occasions at the Legion bar,eventually the talk always turned to politics.Like a lot of people in a small town Jim knew everybody's
political leanings when I told him that I voted for Bruce Crosier he chuckled and said don't let your Dad know.He was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed.

Dear Joanie, We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your husband, Jim. Please relay our sympathy to his sons and daughter and their respective families. We know how difficult this must be for all of you. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Jim was a very strong and generous man with such a kind & gentle heart. He would do anything to help someone in need. He would always put everyone before himself. Joanie, we remember the wonderful and fun times we had fishing with Jim and his friend, Larry Pollard on the west side of Michigan, years ago. Even more enjoyable for us was when Jim came and shared with us a Steel-head salmon-fishing excursion on our boat in Lake Erie a couple of years ago. We will cherish those wonderful memories. We loved Jim very much. We know how much you all will miss him. He was very important in your lives. We encourage all of you to draw on your strengths and the strengths of your entire family. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the Golden family during this time of sadness. I met Mr. Golden while Mike and I were room mates in University. I always felt very welcome at the Golden house whenever I stayed over. I smile with fond memories when I think about picking lead pellets out of the rabbits Mr. Golden shot and sent back with Mike for dinners at our residence in London.
