Dear Cousins - I wanted to send Doug and my condolences to you all on the loss of your mom. Although we haven't seen each other or visited for a long while, I want you all to know that I have many fond memories of our youth, both at your house and ours. Your mom was such a free spirit and encouraged you all to be, so I remember lots of running, whooping and hollering and childhood fun.
Even though your dad was really our first cousin, we called your parents Uncle Clarke and Aunt Kay and thought of all of you as our cousins. Your parents ALWAYS had smiles on their faces and enjoyed stopping to chat which was so nice.
We won't be able to make it to your mom's Celebration of Life on Saturday, but I want you to know that you're in our hearts and prayers now. It's hard to lose your mom. Love to you all, Mary (Brush) and Doug McKeen
