Obituary of W. Glen Rogers
98 years February 25, 2014. Born in Fonthill, ON at Pelham Corners April 17, 1915. Glen came to Windsor in 1929, Glen was a longtime seasonal, then full time resident of Colchester Village. Beloved husband of the late Audrey I. (Crombie) (2011). Loving father and best friend of Al and Debbie Rogers, Ron and Carolyn Rogers, Colchester. Loving grandpa of David (Nicole) Rogers, Kimberly (Scott) Rollins, Casandra, and Magnus Rogers. Loving great grandpa of Taryn, Carson Rollins, Nicholas, Victoria Rogers. Predeceased by his brother Raymond and sisters Evelyn and Grace. A special thank you to our extended family Laura Green for the care she has given to our Dad. Thanks you also to the management and staff at Seasons Amherstburg for their care, compassion and friendship. Glen owned and operated Arcadia Press Ltd. in Windsor, he worked in the industry and retired in his 84th year. Glen was a member of the Church of the Ascension, founding member of Canterbury College and served on the board of directors for 11 years. Glen joined the RCAF as an engine mechanic for 4 years and was a 60 year member of the Air Force Club, Wing 412 and the R.C.L.B. #94 Windsor. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Heritage Village, the Pioneer Power Association, Bracebridge, the Brotherhood of Anglican Churchmen and a former member of the Ad and Sales Club of Windsor. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Visitation Thursday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. A Service to Celebrate Glens life will be held Friday February 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Archdeacon Ronald Matthewman officiating. Interment.
