We were so pleased to meet you, and although we only knew you for a short time, the immediate connection and fun times we shared throughout your stay made it feel like we have known you for years. It was a shame we didn't get to meet up again, and for you to see Ben and Robert in person, but we will tell them about you.

Auntie Joyce we were blessed to get to meet you, such a loving and humble lady.
We cherish the time you spent getting to know us all in Australia and we will hold many fond memories shared with you in our hearts. You are no longer in pain and at peace with Joseph.

Joyce, you were always there to cheer, protect, offer advice and keep our tiny academic lives under control. You were a wonderful friend, colleague and a most astute observer of what was needed to manage the diverse lives of university types. Joyce, you invariably addressed me as "lovey" and I cherished that title. You were also a wonderful life companion for Joseph--methinks you were his soft side and, it was so obvious, he loved you because you were a person of tender emotion. Joyce, we will miss you--that delightful British accent--that smile--that ability to be wise. You were a most lovely person and the world needs more people like Joyce. May you and Joseph now join hands once again in that love you both so quietly shared.
