To the Martin Family, My sincere condolences to all of you on Robert's passing. Both he and Dorothy have known me all of my life. They were also family and close friends with my mother Margaret Snyder and her sisters, Florence, Ruth Fox and Betty Klie.
I can remember as a teen cycling with Margie Klie from Colchester to the Martin farm to see the kids as babies and enjoy cookies and milk with Dorothy and Robert.
May God bless your family always and May Robert Rest in Paradise.
Love,
Margo Barnet

Dear Mrs. Martin and family;
Over 50 years of memories cannot be expressed in words. From being driven to Scouts to painting the church steeple to resolving the concerns of the day, Mr. Martin will always be more than a good neighbor to me. I was honoured to call him a friend I always respected and admired.
Dusty old farmer out working your fields
Hanging down over your tractor wheels
The sun beatin' down turns the red paint to orange
And rusty old patches of steel
There's no farmer songs on that car radio
Just cowboys, truck drivers and pain
Well this is my way to say thanks for the meal
And I hope there's no shortage of rain
Straw hats and old dirty hankies
Mopin' a face like a shoe
Thanks for the meal here's a song that is real
From a kid from the city to you
The combines gang up, take most of the bread
Things just ain't like they used to be
Though your kids are out after the American dream
And they're workin in big factories
Now if I come on by, when you're out in the sun
Can I wave at you just like a friend
These days when everyone's taking so much
There's somebody giving back in
Straw hats and old dirty hankies
Mopin a face like a shoe
Thanks for the meal here's a song that is real
From a kid from the city to you

My sincere sympathy to Dorothy and the whole family.
Dorothy and Robert were classmates in High School with my sister Ruth, and I have let a few of those classmates know of Robert's passing.
He was known though this community as a real builder, and his devotion to his
church was also known.
Dorothy has shown real strength in their life together, and will need that strength
in the days to come.
Much love, Edith Woodbridge
