I have known George since I was about five years old. Played with his kids at his farm, slept in his house, and ate meals that him and Dora prepared. I drove truck for him, when I was sixteen and seventeen, shared our beer with him when I was eighteen, nineteen and on. Never saw him in a bad mood, loved to hear him laugh, never got heck from him, but I learned a lot from him. Great person, he will be missed but I'm sure Dora is glad to have him back.

Pa,
I will always remember how you cared about me. Every time we saw each other, you asked me how I was doing in school. You were my special cheerleader. You cared about my life and what was happening. I felt proud every time I told you what my grades were (because they were always excellent) and I could tell you were proud too. You were truly a special man, a beautiful and kind man. An unforgettable man whose memory will always be special to everyone who met you, then inevitably loved you. I love you, Pa.
Love, Lori

Only met him in person a few times but knew him well through Dixie's stories. He was a lovely kind and generous man and so active to the end. Although this is a devastating loss to his family they can find peace in knowing that they were all so close to him and he knew he was as loved by them as they were by him. His was a life well lived and a shining example to others. Serge and I, our children and my mother Karla Rainey all send our condolences.
