My deepest condolences for the family. Lilian was a lovely lady. I was part of a great team of sun parlor staff who will truely miss this woman . She was such a personality with a smile that lit up her whole face. I have so many memories and great moments with Lil that make me smile. May she rest in peace ❤

I'm sorry to my family for being unable to be there for Grandma's passing. I know it's nowhere near the same as a hug, but you're all in my thoughts at this time. Grandma burned the candle at both ends. I'm sure she'd be impressed at the tiny bit of wax left behind now that her flame has gone out. I loved her and I loved spending time with her. Whether sipping Scotch together, going for a dinner, just the two of us, or running out of gas in my new car, we always enjoyed each other's company. I recall a phone call from Joe, grandma was in the hospital. I rushed to be by her side. She had fallen off her bicycle and smashed face down onto the road. She looked like hell but she was smiling and laughing. I told her she needed make-up. She had plenty of Avon at home on the shelf. I want to thank George, but he's gone. I'd thank him for being there for Grandma as her memory loss began and later the dementia set in. He loved her and it made me happy that she wasn't alone. To the staff at Sunparlor, thank you for taking care of my grandma during her final years. When I visited, I always hoped it would be a good day. But, good or bad day, the staff made sure she was safe and cared for. Thank you for that peace of mind. When Grandpa died in 1995, a Vince Gill song was on the radio when I got the news. I'd like to think that song will suffice for grandma's passing, too. 'Go rest high on that mountain' is a fitting song for both of those lives. Together, grandma and grandpa built our family and I hope they are both at rest now.

Message for Janet --
I can remember a visit with you when you came to Harrow to visit your Mom -- and you told me
that you and my daughter, Marjorie, got together when Marj went up north once.
I do remember your Dad and Mom -- at the School Board functions that we all attended.
And I remember that Bruce and Alan Buchanan were first cousins.
I also know that Lillian has been ill for a long time, and in care.
Just getting in touch at this time of grief.

We love you grandma. I will always cherish the sleep overs when we were kids and your dress up box, the many candy dishes always filled with some yummy item, the warm hugs and especially your loving smile. Your repeated "gotta go" and zooming around in your sleek racer in recent years proved that nothing could slow you down. You are definitely in good hands with all the family waiting for you. Be forever at peace.
