Brett (Bau Bau) was my English language teacher at the British Council when I was a little kid. He taught me how to spell the word “string”. He will continue to live in my heart.

It was so terribly sad to hear of Brett's passing. He was my first friend when we moved to Canada way back in 1969. He graciously helped me learn English that first summer and we had a lot of fun just being beach bums on Belcreft Beach. We eventually both attended the University of Waterloo and went on to pursue our dreams.
The entire White family was so open and generous in welcoming our family to Canada and we all have such positive memories of Brett, his parents, and brothers.
Brett will always be in my memory and my heart. My thoughts go out to the White family.

Brett and Ray travelled all the way from Hong Kong to Sooke, BC for our wedding. It was a tremendous effort and so very much appreciated by everyone in the family. I remember Brett's kindness, generosity and gentle nature especially. It was such a special gift to have him and Ray be part of our ceremony. It mean the world to us both and it will be a gift that I will always cherish. Love to all, Mariah.
