Obituary of Donald Morris Baylis

BAYLIS, Donald Morris 97 years. September 8, 2017. Born November 28, 1919 in Harrow, ON, 6th child born to John Orville and Daisy Baylis. Married on October 26, 1942, beloved husband of 75 years to Hazel Mae (Wilson). Loving father of Leela (James), Mikey (late Kim), Robert (Monica), Marietta, Germain, Linda, Julia (Winston), Sherry, Tony (Helena), Melonie, Jeffrey (Razia), Marty (Susan), Vonda and Allen. Predeceased by Doreen (1945), Donald Jr. (1971) and Morris (2005). Loving grandfather of 40 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Dear brother of Vida, the late Keitha, Clarence, Robert, Elmer and Orville. Donald retired from Chrysler Canada with 35 years of service; he was a member of Unifor Local 444 and served several years as an auxiliary constable with Colchester South Police, served on the local Police board and final years as an animal control officer. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Sunday September 10, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Family and friends are invited to meet at Harrow Baptist Church 2548 County Rd. 20 E., at 10:00 a.m. on Monday September 11, 2017 until a service to celebrate Donald's life at 11:00 a.m. Interment at St. Mark's Church Cemetery.
