Aunt Vonne, My childhood with my mom and dad at your farm with Uncle Len will forever be in my heart as very special times. You and Len gave us such great times on your farm playing in the "Red Barn", riding on tractors, riding horses, sliding on that polished floor that seemed to go for miles! You truly made a very special spot in my childhood that I will live with forever.
God Speed.
With all my love.

Yvonne, my cousin, has also been my friend for most of our lives. I will miss her, and send my sincere sympathy to her dear nieces, who have helped her so much through an old age which has not been especially kind. My deep sympathy is also extended to her sister, Lorraine, and other members of her family.

I remember Mrs Beetham mostly by her reputation of being a caring but firm teacher in the classroom. I agree that she was remembered as a fine teacher who was always immaculately dressed. I also taught at Malden for a couple of years and Ethel Allyson knew of you,Yvonne. May you rest with the Lord after doing so much good.

As a member of the Hilton Mickle Family. I have lots of memories of Yvonne visiting Grandpa. The Boys were always afraid of Mrs Beetham's report of their school work. She taught Don. his brothers and sister and Melissa my daughter and her son Daniel. She had an amazing air and grace about her.. She made the world a brighter place.. Her smile made everyone's day brighter. I'm sure all of her former students have lot's of fond memories. Rest in peace MRS BEETHAM.

Our dear Aunt Yvonne. You were the classy lady who always looked and dressed to perfection. You even looked good when you were out weeding your flower beds. Your time with us has come to pass, you are with Uncle Lenard know and dancing among the stars. So at night when we are out watching the stars, we will see you both in the twinkles .

My beautiful Godmother... What a beautiful woman both inside and out. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood are of times spent with her and Uncle Len on their farm! My total and complete love of all animals began so young as I tried to bring every one of their 'barn kitties' into the house! (I didn't always succeed!!). I will miss her so much, but she is in a better place now and finally at peace reunited with her loving husband. Rest In Peace, Aunt Von.... I love you!

My deepest sympathy to all the family. She taught me in grade 1 at Malden. Too many memories. I worked at Renaud Ford in harrow. She would bring her car in for service and we would chat up a storm. She knew exactly who I was and what my name was. I could not remember the last time I saw her. I was surprised she remembered me. She truly was a beautiful lady .

Yvonne & Len were friends of our family (Edwin & Alta Hutchins), before I was born. Dad shared Len's New Year's Day birthday too. We went back & forth socially and it wasn't too long until Yvonne was my grade one teacher at Malden. She was a "tough cookie" in the classroom and all her students learned to read, print perfectly and do arithmetic to 100. I loved the day she showed her artistry by using all the coloured chalk in the box to draw a clown face and then teach us the word, "surprise"! We learned how to pronounce words correctly and this aided in spelling later on. I loved dropping in on her and seeing the pile of marking she was doing, at home, in the kitchen. I think this early insight into good teaching rubbed off on me and I too became an elementary teacher. Thank-you Yvonne for all the time and care you took with each one of us. Condolences to all her family & friends.

"Aunt Vonnie" was my 2nd mother.... I remember: her loving care, her devilish laughter, her canned peaches, her many farm cats (whom she loved and cared for), her love for playing cards and board games, her willingness to take part in any activity I wished, her love of ballroom dancing, her nice singing voice, the way she read books to me making all of the characters' voices come alive, hulling strawberries with her for the Malden United Church strawberry social, the great smell of her percolating coffee, her immaculate clothes closet, sitting with her during church service, and many, many more wonderful memories. She was a gem, and I loved her. I hope she and Uncle Len are fox trotting their way around that big dance hall in heaven.
