Obituary of Ava Marie Davis

DAVIS, Ava Marie

24 January 2002 - 10 February 2018

It is with profound sadness that her family announces the sudden passing of Ava Marie Davis into the loving, protective arms of the Lord. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Ava was the cherished baby daughter of Sybil (Davis) and Arnell Davis. A dual citizen, Ava took great pride in being from the "D" and Harrow. Ava attended Junior Kindergarten at Queen Victoria School, Windsor, ON. then Harrow Jr. and Senior Schools. She was a proud Harrow Hawk and was attending Kingsville High at the time of her death. Ava was the most loving, caring young lady. She had a way about her, able to communicate with the youngest child and the eldest adult. She was the best friend a person could ever ask for-loyal, supportive, very sensitive to others feelings and full of good advice well beyond her years. She had an extra-ordinary ability to write, paint, apply cosmetics and bake and she was a whiz at Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Her favourite colour was purple. Though she had a lifelong challenge with Epilepsy, Ava Marie Davis was always in charge. She was truly a special and unique individual! She leaves behind her big brothers Julian and Sean Davis, her Grandparents Elise Harding-Davis and Garland Davis (Vickie), the late Velma (Lee) and A.V. Davis. Aunts Daphne Davis (Robert Carreira) and Angelique (Davis) Speros (Nick), Jackie Wesson, Francine Davis and Thalaya Martin and uncles Walter Rogers, Anthony Davis and Antoine Pinkston. Great aunts Maureen (Harding) Mulder, Shelley Harding-Smith, Jaynelle Harding (Gaitan), Linda (Davis) Grineage (Larry) Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow Friday 5-8 p.m. A service to celebrate Ava's life will be held on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mark's Evangelical Church 45 Draper St. Colchester with Pastor Alden Troy Taylor officiating. Interment at Victoria Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made payable by cheque to the Ava Marie Davis scholarship fund c/o 144 Roseann Dr. RR#3 Harrow, ON N0R 1G0.
