Obituary of Howard James Parker

PARKER, Howard James

84 years, born December 6, 1933 passed away February 21, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and Richmond Terrace family. Devoted and best friend to his wife Elaine Patricia (Ward) for 62 years. Predeceased by parents George Parker (1943) and Flavia Parker-Fox (Bondy) (2003) and step father Verne Fox (1996) and his two loving sons Michael James Parker (1976) and Patrick George Parker (2009). Howard loved his 3 grandchildren Ashley, Paige and Cole Parker. Predeceased by his brother Arthur (1969), sisters Susanne Parker-Hadley (1994), Mary Jane Parker-Kemp (2005). He will be remembered by his favorite sister-in-law Marlene (late Len 2011) Lovell. Also remembered many nieces, nephews and friends. Howard was retired after 38.5 years of service at Seagram’s Distillery in Amherstburg as an industrial mechanic (Mill Wright). Howard joined the K of C Council 5350 in Harrow in 1968 was a third degree member and later became an honorary life member since 2004. He was a member of unifor local 2098, a member of St. Anthony Church and ushers club. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow. Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish & K of C prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Monday February 26, 2018 where family and friends will meet at 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Rick Janisse officiating. Interment Colchester Memorial Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made by cheque to The Parkinson's Society or St. Anthony's Church.
