BOTSFORD, Effie Loretta (Bondy) March 4, 1928-February 26, 2018. Beloved wife of the late David (1978). Devoted mother of Ivan, Doris (Ernest) Gaspar, David, Daniel (Linda), and Dawn. Proud grandmother of Lynn, Heather, John, James, William, Anne and Katy. Great grandmother of Audrey, Erin, Iris, Orion, Lexi, Duncan, Ian, Dylan, and Jack, step-great grandmother of Abigail and Sebastian and great-great grandmother of Joseph, Austin and Xaviour. Daughter of the late Ivan Bondy (1962) and late Mabel (Fox) (1962). Sister of Marwood (Bud) (Donna) Bondy, , Robena (late Robert) Anderson, and Reta (late Julius) Van Den Driessche, Predeceased by brothers John, Glen, Eric, Boyd, Robert, Norris and sisters Doris Brimner, Marion Bondy, Jean Halpert and Norreen Voegeli. Generations of local school children were introduced to the history of Amherstburg and pioneer lore by Effie through her work at Fort Malden as an interpretive guide, and as a volunteer at the Park House Museum. Resting at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home, 197 King St W, Harrow with visitation on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Effie's life will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Park House Museum, Amherstburg.
