Obituary of Veronica Cecile Annette Ware (Rabishaw)

WARE (Rabishaw) , Veronica “Vern”

78 years, on January 17, 2019. Born April 21, 1940 in Mattawa, Ontario. She was raised by her grandparents Simeon and Hannah Soucie. Predeceased by her parents Kathleen Lamothe and Charles O’Grady. Loving spouse of the late Leo Rabishaw (2017). Loving mother of Wanda Rabishaw and Carla (Regan) Catherwood, the late Daniel Rabishaw (1999) and also adopted son Duayne Nantaus. Cherished grandmother of Amy (Jason), Chris and Joshua. Great grandma of Kyla, Aidan, Carson, Denver  and Harley. Dear sister of Pauline (John) Chenier, Paulette (Jim) McRaw, Colette Miele, Claude (Diane) Lamothe, Lloyd O’Grady and Neil (Murielle) O’Grady. Predeceased by her brothers Manley, Martin, Guy and Ray (Carol) Lamothe. Also remembered by her pet companion Gidget.  She carried pride with her restaurant, her many years as a bus driver, volunteering with Meals on Wheels and being active as a CWL member. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow.  Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. CWL Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. A funeral service to celebrate Vern’s life will be held at the funeral home on Monday January 21, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Rick Janisse officiating. Interment at Colchester Memorial Cemetery.
