Obituary of Doris Iona Maycock

MAYCOCK, Doris Iona

Passed away peacefully on April 27, 2019 at the age of 95 at Franklin Gardens LTC, Leamington. Predeceased by her siblings Cora Taylor (1982), Florence (1913), Hazel (1917), Arnold (1992) and her parents Henry and Vera Maycock. Iona is survived by her nieces and nephews Shirley (Murray) Setterington, Marjorie (Bruce) Jackson, Wayne (late Barbara) Maycock, Laurene Maycock. Also remembered by many great nieces and nephews and friends. Iona was a member of the Rebeckas, Harrow United Church and the Horticulture society. She was gifted in creating ceramics and sewing. After retiring from her shop Iona's Hairstyling she volunteered her time at the Full Circle Thrift Shop in Harrow. A service to celebrate Iona's life will be held at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow on Thursday May 2nd with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Harrow United Church, Franklin Gardens or the charity of your choice.
