Obituary of Dorothy Clarice Johnson

JOHNSON, Dorothy Clarice (Scott) 94 years. Went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on November 19, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Harland Worthington "Zip" Johnson (2017). Loving mother of Jerry (Janice), Tony, Denise, Philip, and the late Ralph (1972). Loving grandma of 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Guelda (late Rufus) Jones, Agnes (late Doug) Ellsworth, Kathy (Vince) McMullin. Predeceased by her brother Wayman (Bertha) Scott, and sister Eloise (late Carl) Rhue, and Phyllis (late George) Gardner. Also remembered by a host of relatives and friends. Dorothy was a life member of WMS Missionary Society and President of the Hattie Johnson Missionary Society for 37 years, Church Mother, Deaconess at Central Grove A.M.E. and member of the Crescendo Club. Visitation at Gerald A. Smith Funeral Home 197 King St. W. Harrow on Sunday November 24, 2019 from 6 – 8 p.m. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Monday November 25 at Central Grove A.M.E. Church 4005 Walker Rd for a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Central Grove A.M.E. Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Central Grove AME Church.
