Obituary of Janet Carol Truka

TRUKA, Janet (Mackenzie) Passed away unexpectedly in her 58th year on February 21, 2020. Beloved wife of David Truka. Loving daughter of Kathy Mackenzie. Dear sister of Sandra (Brian) Bishop. Daughter in-law of Jan Truka. Will be remembered by her sister in-law Jana (Aldo) Alberani and niece, Althea Alberani. Will be missed by her four legged friends, her dog Keri and cat Wally. Janet loved the lake and her home of 25 years in the Harrow area. She loved her animals, and was always cooking as her gift to others. Born in the Montreal area she spent her teenage years in Burlington. She moved to the Windsor/Harrow area where she met and married her husband Dave. Janet worked for many years in the transport industry as an owner/operator and transport driver. She hosted so many soirees and parties at their quaint house on Lake Erie. Many will have fond memories of the good times and boating adventures. Janet was a generous, kind and loving person who touched so many lives with her giving nature. She will be sadly missed, and fondly remembered by all. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Janet's life will be held at a later date.
